Douglas/Elbert County

Parker Trail Riders, is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1962.  PTR celebrates the great pleasure of riding and caring for horses.  PTR is based in beautiful Parker, Colorado and includes members from Douglas and Elbert Counties and the surrounding areas.  Our goal is to provide horse riders of all ages with opportunities to participated in equestrian events:   Trail Rides, Pleasure Shows,  Gymkhana Shows, Training Clinics, Social Events and Parades.  PTR general membership  meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Colorado Horse Park at 7:30pm.  7522 S. Pinery Parkway.

Fountain Riding and Roping Club (FRRC)

FRRC meets the first Wednesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. at the Lorraine Education and Community Center (301 East Iowa Avenue). Spring thru Fall: Gymkhanas, Barrels, Team Sorting, Working Ranch Horse/Versatility - at John Metcalfe Memorial Park Arena. Team Sorting continues through winter (Saturdays). Pueblo County

The New Rowdy Riders will be riding on Friday nites starting March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Walk-A-Mile Arena located at mile post 14 Business Hwy. 50 East. We will begin with a practice judged event followed by two lead line events  and then three speed events. There will be a 70% payback on speed events in all three age divisions. Rides are available to members and non-members. Weather permitting we will ride every Friday nite through the end of October. Riverside Saddle Club was established in 1964 to promote horsemanship with a special emphasis on developing skills of horsemanship and sportsmanship.  We strongly encourage family participation.  Riverside rides are held on Friday nights beginning the first week in June and continue through the middle of August.  We have all age classes from lead line to seniors.  The Friday night rides consist of 2 judged events and 2 speed events and if time permits, we have a barrel Race!  We give year end awards at our Awards Banquet which is held in December.  We put on an Open Saddle Series starting in March.  Riverside currently rides together beginning at 1314 LN32.  For more information or membership applications contact Cassie at 947-3348 or Kay 569-1663 or email wcowpie@aol.com 

RCC Saddle Club, Rye/Colorado City Saddle Club.  Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Rye Colorado Fire Station.  Some supper meetings are scheduled in advance at other locations.  Gymkhanas are held in summer for members at the club's arena in Colorado City.  Other horse events scheduled during the year.  For  information and trail rides contact members Tom/Marilyn Olson 719 676-4165 or wynhorse@daeo.net  P.O. Beulah Valley Horseman's Association located in Beulah. Our club meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at the Beulah Inn at 7 p.m.  This is a new club and memberships are needed.  We ride starting in May, June and July.  We are interested in keeping the park and some of the trails open to equestrian  riders.  The fee is $20/family and we have a lot of exciting clinics coming up.  Please call Deanna (719) 543-6840 for more information.

Roderopers 4-H club is in Pueblo, Co  Our horse project includes English, Western, Tail and Working Cow horse from the beginner on up. (We also work with rabbits and chickens.) Call Deanna at  719- 543-6840.
